Meet the Music Staff

Debbie Stelter, Assistant to Worship Arts

Debbie was born and raised in central Kansas.
Growing up, her family regularly attended the
same small country church where her dad grew up.

Accepting Christ as her Lord and Savior during
special evangelistic meetings there when she was
11 or 12 seemed “normal” to her, yet was very
special.  (God’s love continues to amaze!)  God,
family, and music have always defined her life.

Debbie plays the piano (started lessons from her
mom at age 4); flute; guitar; accordion (sort of);
and sings.  In addition to Christian music, she
enjoys classical music and reading.  She also likes
to put together jigsaw puzzles.

Debbie is happily married to Jim.  Jim and the kids
are the reason she moved to Oklahoma City in 1993.
They have three kids and
one fantastic (and spoiled!) grandson.

She’s very glad to be an
“Okie transplant,” serving God where He has
planted her!

David Davisson, Celebration Orchestra Director

Deanna Olson, Church Pianist

Deanna Olson was born and raised (mostly) in Oklahoma!

BOOMER SOONER!!  She has served at FBC Moore since
1998, where she began as Music Administrative Assistant
and then switched roles into church pianist in January 2002,
after becoming a mom.

Deanna has a Bachelors of Music Degree in Piano
Performance with emphasis on Piano Pedagogy
(teaching piano) from Oklahoma Baptist University.
She has always loved playing the piano since she was a child,
having taken lessons all the way from grade school
through
college, as well as playing by ear. Now, she passes
that
love of learning to play/read music through her piano
students
in her private piano studio at her home.

Deanna is also our Children’s and Adult Handbell
Director.  She has rung handbells from jr. high through
college and has a real passion for teaching music
through another area of worship.  She is in her third
year of directing the Children’s Handbell choir, for which
she arranges all of their music.  She is in her second year
of directing the Adult Handbell choir, known as The FBC
Moore Bell Charmers, and is excited about the
opportunities for them to ring in worship as well
as for other events at FBC Moore.

Deanna has been married to Ron Olson (Customer
Care Rep for Ideal Homes) for 16 years and loves her
“Date Nights” with him.  They have two daughters,
Jacey (age 9) and Carly (age 5).  They love going on
vacation together, watching movies and having fun
playing the Wii.

Deanna also has a home business called Picture This.
She creates all kinds of different projects
with pictures from calendars to wall collages to
picture DVD’s.  She has also taken up a love for
quilting and loves making picture and t-shirt quilts
as part of her business.

In all she does, Deanna’s prayer is that others will
see Jesus Christ through her and that she can be a
joyful blessing to those around her.
